What year 360 are you useing ? I had a set of shorties on my 95 Dodge ram with a 360.......I know it may not be the same as what your application is, but just tossing it out there.

I would assume he is installing an AMC 360 not a Chrysler 360. Two totally different engines.

The offset for the 258 is about 1-1/2" to the passenger side. This won't work with the 360. You need to decrease the offset to about 3/4". You'll have to cut the old engine mounts off the crossmember and make new ones. You need to bolt the engine to the existing transmission and then slide it sideways to know where to put the mounts on the crossmember.

Most people shave the strut rod bracket a little bit as well. This picture is from a V8 conversion sold on ebay. Mine will have a similar proximity to the bracket. Instead of grinding at it, I'd like to take the hump out of the bracket and make it flush against the subframe, with a notch in that lip in the way, but that would be alot of cutting and welding for very little gain. I'll probably just shave it like this.

I planned to run mine forwards (with a LH manifold) and then back.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

im having a heck of a time trying to get an exhaust done on my eagle.  i cant figure out how to get the driverside exhaust around the drive shaft.  does anyone have any ideas on how to go about it? or happen to have a picture of how they did it?

Is yours still stock other than the motor. if it is it will be a pita. take it in and have it done. however i did one to my 304 eagle but its about as tall as i am. also just about the same thing is putting a 4.0 header/manifold from a jeep on a stock height eagle. to do that i used a downpipe from who knows what. it worked however.

any of these pics you want just ask.

any pictures you got would help.  I did talk to the exhaust place in town and they said about 650 it to do the exhaust because I would need cat converters even though I don't need emissions

thats what i have for the stroker 6 with mid 90's cherokee header type thing. i looked at my 304 powered eagle and it was all straight forward no issue as it also is sas 'ed. so i won't with that photo op especially since the ground is wet.
