Dipstick interchange questions

I have an '82 Jeep J10 with the 258, I'm told that the motor came from a late CJ7 or early YJ. It has a VERY short engine oil dipstick hidden behind the distributor and I have to climb into the engine bay to check the oil. It's a lifted truck so it sits very high to begin with. I'd like to take an Eagle dipstick and put it in the J10 that way I could atleast check the oil without the use of a ladder or risk burning myself on hot engine parts.

Is the Eagle style dipstick and tube available new anywhere? Also what is needed to swap it out, is it bolted or pressed in place?

Another reason to get rid of it Thankfully neither of my 258's are currently leaking

I believe the dipstick style was changed in 1983 to the long style.

The long ones have one support bolt on the side of the head, I believe they are press-fit.

Thanks! On my '84 Eagle in the 2nd photo there is a bolt that holds the dipstick to the head.
