Do you think you will have any luck getting a title?

Great score friend!  Looks like a good builder foundation.  Definitely a great donor for your other ride.

Got my fingers crossed that BJ's dad will finally send him the title. I'll probably hound him til he does. If not we wrote out a bill of sale type thing and I'll see what it would take to get a new title for it.

Send me good Eagle vibes that the title will turn up though!

Do yourself a favor and don't do any work or spend any more money on it until you have a title in your hand. I'd hate to see you put time and money into   it and have to part it out or send it to the scrap yard.

Well I put a little bit of sweat into it tonight. Vacuumed and removed some trim. Found a rats nest in the spare tire hidden compartment.

That's good advice though not putting any actually money into the thing yet.

You could always do a Lien Sale on it.  I have done this when I was not able to get a title.

Some more pics! Before After of the Vacuuming.













Found some remnants of a mouse. Lots of turds and sawdust type stuff.


The vanity mirror looks like it was ripped right out of the bracket that holds it to the ceiling.




Found this stuff in the back seat...I don't believe it's Eagle related...one of the parts had a sticker that said Engine Displacement 31cc.


The engine bay was a mess. I at least cleaned up the leaves. I need to figure out how to put the springs back on the hood.


Started removing trim and the wheel well covers. Good news about the front two fenders. There looks to be no rust...at least nothing bad like the rear passenger side.

If you were to purchace every good part that car has to offer one piece at a time from a junk yard you would probably spend close to a grand. This definatly qualifies as a JACKPOT!!

Once you get the hinges attached to the hood and the body, you can use a fan belt to attach the springs.  Hook the back end to the hinge, and then hook the front end of the spring to the fan belt.  Pull on the fan belt, it will stretch the springs to the point where you can hook the front end of the spring to the hinge.

Its cleaning up nicely!

Can you give us a list of what has to be done to the car to make it driveable for you? I know there was an issue with the flywheel and/or starter, but don't know the particulars. Also, are you still planning to have the school near you perform the work? It would be nice to see some young people working on an older car.

That's exactly what I want to hear! Let's just hope this baby can fly again and I don't have to put it back up for parts.

Thanks Rohn, sorry it didn't work out for you to pick this thing up.

I'm still hoping to have it at least looked over at RTI(Rolla Technical Institute). If things go as planned they'll do some work on it as well...with the supervision of my friend and his teacher.

As far as I know it just needs the flywheel and/or starter and the vacuum lines I don't think are hooked up right and should most likely just all be replaced. I would imagine a carb rebuild wouldn't hurt. It apparently didn't have a battery either. This weekend I plan on putting my battery in it. Spraying some carb cleaner in the carb putting some gas/mystery oil in the tank and seeing what happens. I'd like to know first hand what it is doing when you try to start it.
