A friend of mine contacted me.
Supposedly the same car in this picture has come up for sale locally.
The seller is stating it was a factory put together car, not something put together in their garage.
He didn't have a picture, but we came up with this picture from years ago.

I don't beleive it of course, but thought I would post here to see if maybe I am wrong.

Anyone ever see or hear about this?????

Supposedly the picture here is from the AMC nationals.

I'm sure if it was the real deal there would be something I could find out on the internet.

No factory would build something like that. I would be more impressed if it was 4wd instead of 2wd. Seems like a waste of a good car and time.

I agree, he should have made it 4 wheel drive, though the negative comments on the original post make me assume that the posters are rather uneducated to the nature of AMC and the relationship between the spirit and the SX/4 eagle. Really is what he has done any different than some of the mods that have done to the eagle?

Ingenuity through stupidity, Do something stupid and through Ingenuity you will find a way out of it.

I guess a lift like that seems a little strange cosidering it wasnt converted to four wheel drive....but to each his own, and I will admit it was done very nicely....I wonder if that car actually started life as an AMX or if was a converted spirit....At any rate I wouldnt be ashamed to be seen it, It cretainly commands attention.

I would be, when I had to admit it was 2 wheel drive.
I don't see the point of spending all of that money, and making it something you can't even use.
Otherwise, it looks like they spent a lot of time and money on it, and it looks well done.

I agree with Sunny, that is the same as putting studded snow tires on the rear of a front wheel drive car.

I guess that kinda fall into the same category as someone turning a 4x4 truck into a lowrider.
