it is very hard to give a price on the info listed.  Also remember when you get a price from the nest it is only a guesstimate.  If the car runs, drives and has very little rust underneath it is worth about 1000 bucks.  if not running/not moving  with little rust underneath 500 dollars is a high offer.  if it runs and drives with holes in the rockers, floors, or frame horns 300 dollars MAX.
Please no one take offense to my pricing, this is what I would pay at most for an eagle.  It is all about what you feel comfortable paying and what abilities you have to fix the car.

I'm in Canada where they are more scarce, too.

Yeah but the 5.5K+ price tag people ask for them here is outrageous.  I would NEVER pay anywhere CLOSE to that for an Eagle. And they wonder why they've been for sale for half a year..I've been watching for quite a while the two SX/4's in my area have been for sale. I could easily drive down to the USA and pick one up for WAY less, even after gas, taxes and duty. They've slowly been lowering their price though, because no one will pay that. Last I saw they were around 4K or so.

I think an SX/4 with 49,000 mles on it in roadworthy shape would be worth more than $1000. That's just an opinion and not meant to be taken as the gospel!  ;D
I'm in Canada where they are more scarce, too.
I forgot to mention I am a lowball buyer ;D

Oh so you're just teasing us. Seriously, if you really want a manual, you would be money ahead just to buy a factory manual car. It would cost you more than the car is worth to do the conversion. Of course you could do as Peter suggests and buy it and try to find someone with a manual that wants to trade. BTW make sure to check out the underbody for rust before you buy, as Eagles can look real nice on the top side only to be completely rusted on the undercarriage.

I paid $2500 for mine and drove it to Michigan from Nebraska. It died in my driveway when I got home lol! My SX/4 is complete and roadworthy, 4X4 works and just has surface rust. The frame rails are good on mine from what I can see underneath. The interior needs work but I planned on it being a project car.

Bottom line, I guess the car is worth what your willing to pay, go through and fix on it! Labors of love or a dreadful disease we all share!  :rotfl:

Another possibility for a manual is you could buy this one and look for a rusty/beatup eagle with a manual and buy it for a few hundred, then you'd have all the parts you need and if you do the swap yourself it would cost you next to nothing beyond the few hundred you pay for the rusty/beatup manual eagle.
