Roof racks are great but they can pose one heck of a problem when those well nuts start leakin'...my poor 83 wagon had started to leak...luckily I caught it and repaired it before it filled up my floor board with stagnant water.

yep no sign of roof rack ever being there.  I'm ok with that, I just have to make a trailer hitch reciever for more room.  Fortunately, the paint is still present.

My 86 wagon doesnt have a roof rack either....or roof paint for that matter  ;D

Shane, the roof paint delete is a very rare option indeed!  Really increases the value of the car!

Not many people got that paint delete option as it added another $10,000 to the sticker price. One like this sold on the auction block at Barrett Jacksons a few months ago for i think somthing like $125,000...as you can tell by the picture she is a pampered trailer queen.  :rotfl:

actually all joking aside, ya don't get to see cars with that much paint gone, and not rotten to death.  That IS really rare.

i saw that episode of the auction.  The car was still on the trailer as they brought it on stage, and the trailer was included in the sale price.

My '82 wagon has neither a roof rack or rear wiper. Just rolled up 79k, have to have state inspection next month.
