rear new drums and wheel cyl. pads too

The brakes will not bleed in the rear. Before it was the same when the old original parts were on. Does my 1984 Eagle have one of them copper resets. Some vehicles have them my mechanic thought located somewhere but we don't have the ability to find it now. He looked in his info and it didnt say where this piece that has the button you can pull or push to allow the fluid to flow. I can't remember what he called it all I know it is copper and is from the front lines under somewhere inbetween. So, if you guys may know, where is the button or lever on this and would this be why the brakes are not bleeding. We have no hissing or anything fluid out the valves.

I've never heard of what you are trying to describe. There is a possibility that your brake line is clogged. May be clogged at the proportioning valve. Bad master cylinder?

My guess is the brake line is clogged.

What method of bleeding are you trying?

the porportioning valve. yes, where may it be and does mine have a button to release,thanks '84

We bled by pumping the pedal and releasing from the wheel cyl. and nothing both sides. Also cracked the master and bled it so fluid was leaving the front. I was curious where the porportion valve is and my mechanic was wondering if there is a reset on it.
