Automatic mounts not available. However manual trans mounts are. Just cut the studs off. Than you have an auto mount.

^^ Interesting info there, for any one curious, those door strikers are for the 82-96 gm A-body platform (pontiac 6000, Buick Century, chevy celebrity, olds ciera), and 88-91 full size truck.

The manual is $32.00 at Rockauto.
Like mudkicker says, just grind the studs off and you will have the auto version.

As soon as all the planets align, Virginia is going up on the lift and getting the flex plate replaced.  While it's apart I want to replace the trans mount (4.2 auto).  I read on here that the mount for the manual trans works, and the studs just need to be ground off to be compatible with the automatic transmission.

I can't see the transmission mount that's on my car very well right now, because of the transfer case blocking my view and not being able to get under the ground without ending up covered in mud...  But upon my inspection the one on the car looks identical to the one I just picked up at Advance, it looks like the 4 studs on it are the only way to mount it to the crossmember.  What am I missing here, what do I need to grind off?  I want to do the prep work ahead of time so things go as quickly and smoothly as possible when we finally get started with the repair.  So what am I not seeing/why doesn't this make sense to me?  Thanks.

You have to grid the welds of the studs with a dremel like tool.
Than you can knock the studs out with a hammer.
You will be left with slotted holes, that are used for the bolts to mount it.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for.  So the only difference is the auto mount bolts straight thru to the cross member, and the manual transmission uses the studs?  Is there an alignment issue using the studs with an automatic?
