Ella the Eagle @ Mem. Day Car Show 2011 w/PICS

WON AN AWARD!! This year's Memorial Day Car Show was held at Hugo, MN. It was the 37th Annual Car Show. I decided last week to take Ella the Eagle (1987). Ella now has factory AMC Alloy Wheels, new tires on those bad boys, top of the line 1987 AM/FM Cassette Tape player, Sport Steering Wheel (holding up nicely I might add), Air Shocks (Monroe...what a supple ride), other goodies that I collected that are from 1987 to put on display in the wagon/hatch up.

I was quite surprised that Ella got as much attention as she did. Practically everyone said, "It's so clean". One guy noticed the authenticity of car to be period exact.

I was really enjoying people getting stuck in the wet grass! LOL! People were spinning mud left & right! I had a great chuckle all day long.

MMMM... Belinda Carlisle...   I remember when that "Heaven On Earth" album was new!  :eyepopping:

I'm also diggin' that vintage Pepsi bag.  I'm so stuck in the '80s, I still think Pepsi's slogan is "The choice of a new generation".  ::)

Oh, the Eagle looks pretty good, too.  ;D

Thank you Eaglefreek. Man, some days the Garnet Red looks more maroon/burgundy, like today, and other days, it has more of a brownish hue. I am an 80's guy...I was jammin' to the Belinda 'cassette' on the way there. That A/C blows COLD.

You should show up wearing some Carrera aviators or Rayban Wayfarers, a Members only jacket, acid washed jeans and white Reebok hightops.  ;D

I see  59 Chev and 60 pontiac convertibles, I'd love to have one, or both, of those.
