That is a good point...he wont think your just in it for scrap value.

Unless he doesn't care about the car at all, in which case he might think that you'll pay more for it.

It could really go either way.

Some people are so funny...they have a car sitting for 10 years taking up space and no intent of ever using it or restoring it...yet its like pulling teeth to get them to sell it to ya.....even at high price.

AMEN to that, I have been after a pair of 83 SX/4s that the owner bought new.  For some reason he thinks they should fetch 5k a piece, In my opinion even in great running order and can be driven across country after transfering the title there isn't an eagle worth 5k (not counting turbo diesel and some know my thoughts on the sundancer).
