Aftermarket wheels

  I am looking to buy some wheels for my Eagle, the bolt pattern is 5-4 1/2  , I measure the backspacing on my stock wheel to be 5 1/2 inches, it  also look like the wheel has a positive offset. I was wondering if this is right on my measurements . I am having trouble finding any wheels like this. I like some input of any wheels that will work with difference backspacing or offset, or any company that sell wheels that will fit.

In my opinion, the factory wheels have too much backspacing. I've got Jeep Cherokee wheels and the backspacing is 4.5" and I think they look better with a little wider stance.

I also have and like the Cherokee five spoke aluminum wheels.  I painted mine black and have 215x75 tires, but will change them to 225x75..............

  I and still looking at new wheels was all the years cherokee make the same. Also does anyone know the offset in mm.  One set of wheels I found are 15x7 with 4.5 backspacing and 13.00mm offset.

  thats the size of these and they should be from 88-2000 cherokee, wrangler, I believe?

Yes your measurements are correct.  The stock steel rims are 15x6, with 5.5" backspacing.  I put on a new set of 215/75/15's on some black Cragar style D-window rims and the rear was fine but the front was a no-go.  They were 7" rims with 3.25" backspacing.  It pushed the front out too far and the tires hit when you turned the wheel.  They looked so good, hated to take them off but since I actually want to drive the car and not just display it in the front yard, back to stock rims we go.   I looked at all kinds of non-jeep options and the closest you'll find are some FWD rims when it comes to that much offset.  But the problem there is the choices are mostly asian rims, not something offroad worthy.  But, I'm still looking............

  Thanks for all the input , I found a set of Cragars from Summit Racing that are 15x7 with a 4.5 backspacing and a +13.00 mm offset, they will be going on a set of 215/65/15. I only going to mount one and try it just in case.

ford ranger/explorer wheels work good as long as you drill out the hub holes a little (I have a set that I use on eagles that have flat tires when I pick them up)  also I think i heard of someone using Mercedes Benz wheels on an eagle (one of these days I will have to confirm that on one of my eagles)

yes mercedes rims do fit as do mustang rims.

Ok, I saw my post was edited.  My term was not a racial slang for those of you who don't or have not dealt with imports.  But asian rims makes no sense.  asian is the style of import that ypu see with the big rims, low profile tires and sometimes depending on the lack of sensibility of the owner, the big carbon fiber wing on the trunk lid.  The style has been around for a long time but was really made popular by the FAST and Furious movies.  So when someone says asian, it's usually an over-the-top-sort of modified (mostly for looks) import.  It has nothing to do with race or nationality.  FYI.

I figured I'd add to this thread rather than starting a new one. I'm guessing these won't work, but I found some cheap wheels locally that are 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, but they are 15 x 10 with a 4in backspace. I'm guessing the width of these wheels would cause a multitude of clearance issues.
