Does anyone know in what order you tighten the head bolts...as well as the torque specs..Its a 1983 258 by the way.

all to 45 ft lbs, then all to 65, then all but #11 to 85. #11 is 80, coat with RTV (but not directly under cap, rather, on bolt itself)
think of it as a spiral, starting at #1.
You MUST buy new head bolts. MUST. They are 7/16" and WILL stretch. Seen it happen twice, each time within just a few thousand miles... on mine, and someone else's.
www.headbolts.com will have the ones you need. The price is steep, but they're just about the only option. Make sure any brackets for pulleys you have don't bolt to the head bolts. If they do, you may have to talk to someone that knows where to go for custom size bolts with studs on top.
