Last Thursday, Friday, and Today (Monday) were all lab days in my school auto shop. Got a lot of things done on Woody... I replaced the busted up exhaust and in put all new pipe (removed the cat ((it was junk anyways))) and installed a glasspack.
I'll make due with a glasspack until I save up enough for some flowmasters and dual exhaust...
I also replaced the front bumper, as I didn't care for it because it didn't have bumper guards...which for me is just odd to see an Eagle without. So I put on my dad's old bumper from his woody wagon.
I also started on fixing the body damage in the back. As of right now, I'm waiting for my friend to fix the mounting holes on the replacement bumper (salt kills...
)...but I decided to get a head start and remove the bent up bumper and try to get a peek at how bad the bumper ram is. I didn't take a picture of how bad the bumper and bumper ram got, but let me tell you, it was pretty bent up...that just sums it up right there.
So my friend and I were able to bend out the bumper ram a little, the best we could. We're going to see if we can make it work by putting washers on the bolts to help space the gap. (My dad did this when my mom and I got rear-ended in her '87 Eagle 8 years ago)
I need a left ENDCAP!!! I have a red and brown one readily available, but I'd really like to get the right color (Blue)...I just don't wanna mess around with trying to paint it. But there is no way I'll be driving around with the endcap I currently have on there, so I took it off...Much better than a busted up lookin thing
...So if you have one let me know!!!! (this is posted in the wanted section as well).
Also, I bought new rims and tires for my Eagle
I've seen some pictures of Eagles with Jeep rims and thought "that's awesome..." I like the look of 83Eagle!'s Jeep rims on his Eagle, and decided that was for me. I also bought new White-Letter tires P215/65/R15, so they'll be wider and should look sweet...and shouldn't rub because they're not as high. Those should go on Woody this coming Thursday!
But anyways, here's some pictures for this update:
