the real fix to the problem is to just install another pan, I am starting to think that that is what i am going to have to do this weekend

well, tonight or technically tomarrow (12 AM) we are going to put oil in it again and drive it around a little and see if the leak is gone (fingers crossed).  I do know the new pan will be on it sometime soon because we are planning to take the eagle to Florida.  So after the oil pan fix we are going to get the cruise working, install a radio, and recover the headliner and install it.  there is no order to what we are doing just doing whatever we feel like doing first, I think that the radio will end up last on the list because i like to hear the car.  Yup, it sounds that good ;D

So far so good, only took 2 tubes ;D next step is to maybe take some truck bed coating and coat the oil pan so it will never leak

Sorry I asked.  I should have known.  I was thinking more literally.  Hahaha

Glad the fix is working.  I agree with putting a few coats of bedliner on it.  That should help reinforce.
