Doing the bearings in the Eagle and need to know which tools and sizes are needed?
I am seeing 6 point sockets and 6 point star sockets. Haven't tore into the car yet and from what pics I have seen they look to be 6 points star sockets, is that correct?
Also, what size(s) will i be needing?
Are we talking the front, back, or both?
IIRC, the axle nut on the front.... might be a 1 3/8's ?? it's been a year, and I'm not 100% sure. But something like that. Use single hex sockets if you can.
To take off the CV joints, you can use like allen key 6 side wrenches. I don't think they are like torx bits. At least mine weren't. I don't remember the size. (3/8's??)
You'll also need an extension (or a long breaker bar) to get those axle nuts off, and a pry bar to keep everything from spinning (or someone holding the brakes). The 6 (or
hex bolts that hold the CV joint to the front half shaft are usually not as bad.
That's all I know. And it's pretty slim at best.
