Looks good! My windshield wiper on the drivers side sits high, just like yours... I haven't figured out how to adjust it yet.

I can't tell, does it have a passenger side mirror?

LOL...I didn't even notice that. The mirror is there but replacing both of them is on my list of things to do. They are the remote ones and they flop around.

How are your hatch struts?

Mine weren't strong enough to hold the hatch up anymore, so I decided to replace them...

That was before I found this place, so I never got a warning about the hatch hinges:

The hatch hinges are made of cast metal, likely zinc, and if you replace the struts, they might just snap, they're getting old.

I'm currently looking for replacements, just thought I'd warn you just in case ;)

Hatch struts were on my list also but now I might put that on hold. I don't want to make more work for myself right now. Thanks for the heads up.

As for the trans, if you have an auto, find a 727 from a Grand Wagoneer (make sure you get the dipstick and tube!) and it's a strength upgrade of about 1.5 with just a slight 1-2 mpg fuel economy hit if it's not a lockup.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

You have to pull the wiper off by prying a metal clip on the underside and sliding it off the splines, and slide it back on in the correct position. It may be slightly seized on, so be careful if you have to pry it.

And yeah, I found out the hard way about changing the hatch struts, both of my hinges cracked shortly after I  changed the struts. I just hold the hatch up with an aluminium tent rod now, so I don't over stress the hinges.
