I just took delivery of a 1983 Eagle wagon. It needs a little work including possibly a complete left side mirror. Is there a source for a replacement?
Congrats on the acquisition! I've been looking on car-parts.com. There is a similar named site that is for new car parts but this one searches the salvage yards. I need two of them myself.
Electric or cable-operated mirror?? There is no "new" replacement to be had; but used ones do pop up on Ebay quite often. Just keep checking Ebay until one pops up.
I don't know about the op but mine were cable. If standard ones would work I'd be ok with them.
I know these are a different style, but the work well as replacement mirrors on an Eagle. I have them on my Kammback.

I recently gave up on my search, and bought a couple of those universal models vangremlin linked. Note that they are available in chrome also. Or more accurately, shiny plastic instead of black plastic. They are a little light but I need something that will stay in place and it seems that they will work. Also they are a bigger mirror which will be nice for me on the trails I plan to run.
can you post a pic of them on the car?, thanks, gz
Thanks for the help. I am sure I will need a lot more as I get this Eagle fixed up as my daily driver.

Here are a couple more
thanks, they fit the car well, gz
Here are a couple in chrome. Just put them on this morning. My take is that they will work, but I'd rather have originals of course.

The ones I used were Fit System 3671, and they had slotted brackets so they did not need new holes. I used the existing screws.
Thanks!

No new holes needed for the black ones either.
No offense, but those big chrome ones are pretty hideous!

I think the word you are looking for is "fugly". No argument from me, they are pretty lousy. Now that I'm seeing the pics from vangremlin, I'm thinking of switching them out for the black ones.
Now the viewing area looks nice though! I have the sport mirrors on Penny and the mirror area is TINY!!!
Just for posterity, the mirror area on the big honkin chrome ones was 5x8. I looked up the black ones and they are 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 so much smaller. I've got a set ordered already.

I think you'll still like these. Still plenty big enough, and they don't flop around like the original Eagle ones once they get worn out.
I think you are right, vangremlin. The black ones look much better. Those chrome ones belong on a big pickup truck.
was that price for a pair of mirrors or individually

The black ones come as a pair.
I just sourced two from some salvage yards. Ordered one to arrive next week.
Just curious, did you find cable ones or standard? I found a few but for some reason hadn't pulled the trigger on calling them. I stopped at O' Reilly's and bought one of the black universal ones for 16.99 I think. They actually had it in stock. I mounted easy and adjusted well but the mirror has clarity like a kid's toy. it works for sure but I'll be looking for something different.

I found a good used left hand remote mirror by using a website called "Junk Yard Dog" that sends it out all over the country. I just got it and it looks very good.
Will have to try that one once I have some of my emergency fixes done.
