What are you guys doing for alternator upgrades?
How about the CS144? If so what are you doing to make it work with the Eagle?
Depending on how much of an upgrade you are looking for, the Mean Green Alternator looks pretty good

Those are nice alternators but out of my price range.
I guess I'm looking for more of a junk-yard/parts store upgrade.
It's been a while since I installed mine and can't quite remember which one. I posted a thread here, but I think it got lost in the big delete. The one I got was a 130 amp, if I recall and was a direct bolt in. I did upgrade the charge wire to 6 gauge. I'll look at it tomorrow and see if I can figure out which one I have. A couple days ago I went to a cars and coffee event and one of the guys had a 80's Ford Mustang State Trooper car and had the lights running for a while. His battery died and another guy in a Toyota pickup tried to give him a jump. They tried for a little while and weren't having much luck. I volunteered since I have the high amp alternator and after we hooked up to my car, his car started as soon as he turned the key.
EF-
Let me know when you figure it out! :D
One other thing.
Anybody make a replacement Eagle ALT pulley? The one of my old alternator is trashed and the current alternator(Jeep 62AMP) has a smaller pulley.
My alternator appears to be a 12si and I now recall it being a 140 amp unit. I bought it from an Ebay seller and don't remember which one. It came with the pulley. Don't get a one wire alternator, stick with a 3 wire.
I just bought a 140 amp alternator off eBay to put in my Kammback. It shipped today, so hopefully I'll be able to install it this weekend.

Cool. Hook it up as a 3 wire and I would run a minimum 6 Gauge charge wire. I think I ran a 4 gauge after looking closer at it.

Yes most of the ones I saw for sale on eBay recommend a 4 gauge wire. It looks like I can use the same style wire as runs between the solenoid and the starter to do the trick.
