wow i have posted in a long time. I have a 1976 hornet sportabout named travis we got him running for a little bit but when we had to changed the oil he stoped. So we cleand the gas tank hooked all the lines up and he still wouldn't start he would turn over but no spark. So we checked the sprak plugs and the coil they were bad so we changed them and he still won't get a spark please help
are you getting fuel to the carb? Unhook the line at the filter, put the end in something to catch the gas so you don't spray engine and self, and have a helper crank it over. Start with quick bumps of the starter and get progressively longer if no gas come out.
yes I have a line from the fuel pump to a gas can it is going to the carb but no spark
we have a brand new coil, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires new roter cap and roter and it still won't start no spark

are you getting power to the coil? ....... what motor?
We are going to going to try to see if we put the wires on the coil backwords. Then go from there
Two other things to check:
1. The wiring to the pick-up coil in the distributor is moving all the time, these wires tend to break.
2. It could the Ignition Module itself.

checked all the wires for continuity from the ICM to the coil pack and can't find and breaks in the wires
Turn the key on and make sure you are getting over 6 volts to the + side of the coil. Then put a test light to the - side of the coil and hook the end to ground on battery, if it lights, then you have a bad ground. If it doesn't, pull the coil wire out, and put the probe of the light in the coil and have a helper turn over the vehicle, the light should flash. Write back if you have any questions. Hope this helps you.

I did what you said and yes it lit up when i put the test light to the - side of the coil now what you said about it have a bad ground are you talking about the battery or the coil thank for the post
