are you getting fuel to the carb? Unhook the line at the filter, put the end in something to catch the gas so you don't spray engine and self, and have a helper crank it over. Start with quick bumps of the starter and get progressively longer if no gas come out.

Two other things to check:
1. The wiring to the pick-up coil in the distributor is moving all the time, these wires tend to break.
2. It could the Ignition Module itself.

This topic is in the wrong section BTW.

I tried to tell him that Jurjen, but he still wouldn't listen to me.  :censored: mother even agreed with him about where it was. Said it would be fine. It's like talking to a  :censored: brick wall with these two!  :banghead:

Turn the key on and make sure you are getting over 6 volts to the + side of the coil. Then put a test light to the - side of the coil and hook the end to ground on battery, if it lights, then you have a bad ground.  If it doesn't, pull the coil wire out, and put the probe of the light in the coil and have a helper turn over the vehicle, the light should flash.  Write back if you have any questions.  Hope this helps you.
