Dash lights and horn

I noticed today that my dash lights are no longer working (and not because I turned the dimmer down).  I started testing other things and noticed the horn isn't working anymore either.  Thoughts?  Are they related?

There's a fuse block on the firewall under the dash on the far left side. I suspect you've blown one or more fuses. :eagle:

Failing that, there could be a snapped electrical connection on the right side just outside of the hatch. Don't ask me why that will kill the dash. x_x

Unrelated circuits  -- in fact I don't think the horn is fuse protected, but I have been wrong before.  The dash lights are a three amp fuse.  If the fuse is good it could be the headlight switch itself.

I forgot all about this. I ended up replacing the headlight switch once years ago when this happened to me. It is the stupidest arrangement I've ever seen but the coiled spring in the switch determines the amount of resistance for lighting the dash. If this rots and breaks off, you're left without ANY current going to the dash and will usually have to resort to activating the cab light until the switch is replaced.

on Survivior the horn has a fuse i know because i had to unplug it when i put the horn button back on.

That wire is for the rear wiper.
