I wanted a Center console gauge package because it makes things happen... It looks so "cheap" under the dashboard without it...

I didn´t have one, so DIY...

I had one on my Limited, so it can be a start point. I did not want to spoil it, so I needed a template.

Some plywood...



It takes right form... little by little



Som bondo and aluminium


And here it is, a copy...

This "beast" is in the garage again...

Original idea was to put new roof lining back after some rust removal of inner roof...

It did not happen... When I had removed almost all of the rust I found a lot of silicone around rear hatch seal... and what was under that mess...

Rust, of course!



And the other side...



Some one had used screws to fasten roof moldings.... I had to weld those holes.





I wondered about these screws... and that cracked windscreen corner... Had no idea what this can be...



Windscreen corners had some rust issue, too...



Rust all around...



After sand blasting...





OH, NO...



Testing new sheet metal...



What could be under that cracked windscreen corner?

This of course!



Cutting metal... found this!

What might be under the other side?



So far, so good...
