This is is a setback, because I had a quick repair and motor change in my mind, before I´d start working with my American gasser amd Willys Jeepster.
I´m going to put this silver beast to sleep again and start something else  :amc:  instead.

Drivers seat had some torn seams and vinyl.

Started this job about a year ago, so it was time to finish it...  ::)

Lower part has now a piece of vinyl. Because seat cover has all parts on, I couldn´t use normal sewing machine anymore. I  restored my shoemakers sewing machine, one I bought over 20 years ago...



That´s done...



Lower part had so much issues, it was easier to fabricate a new one...



Done...



And now I have "new" seat...

Eagle project is still sleeping... But my gasser and Jeepster are sleeping too, because of new project I bought right after latest posting...

I had a chance to buy a Rambler Rogue, it was a sleeping project... I have worked with it about a year and a half now... It had a lot of  sheet metal job because of rust and a crash... My friend had done some jobs before it came to me, but still ...18 months...

Now it has new paint and it is coming together after 36 years...  :hello2:

The amount of rust repair and fixing dents is huge...

My friend Heke started from this. Rogue was sandblasted 1983 (about so) and left in a barnhouse...  :banghead:



He worked four-five months and this is how it was when I bought it... Rear was fixed and made to look like 69 model.
But the rest of the car was rust and s..t.   :help: 18 months to get this ready for paint... I removed many of his patched sheet metal, to make bigger panels and less welds... and to get that blasting sand out of frame and sills. It had bucket full of that and rust in those...  :censored:



It had "new" fenders and hood from a parts car. I had to replace drivers side door. It looked quite right, but was too bad. Roof was the same... it was in terrible shape. I had to learn how to use shrinking disc and panel beating spoon to fix it...

This week I had a new start with this "beast"... Took it out and done some research...



Oh yes, I have done some interior job... red is now black...



Rusty floor panels look quite nice... some job done... And no rust issues around rear hatch... nice...



New windshield and no rust issues, nice...



How about inside of that vehicle... Oh yes... that´s the issue. Rust, and a lot of it...



It is time to fix that... And it takes a lot of time...

But there is something done... I had one automatic transmission done... a friend of a friend does these...



And a new lock up converter and flexplate...



Started cleaning all nasty under body seal out of floors and sills. This had a lot of swiss stuff with some welded patches... and bathroom silicone...  >:D
