That sucks, but sometimes you just have to admit when a car isin't worth saving.
There's no point dumping 5K into a 1500$ car, when it's going to stay a 1500$ car.

I've sent several car's to the scrap yard, that just wern't worth saving.
Unfortunately, as the car's get older, more things break, and parts get more expensive.

Hopefully you stripped all the useful parts off it though.

I'd part it out first before sending the unibody out to the crusher, my personal 2 cents worth.

I hope all those good parts didn't go to the crusher.
I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.

i hate to say it but that's just irresponsible and lazy to just send the car to salvage with some of the hard to find parts still on it.
things like the bumper end caps could have made ya an easy 50 bucks to a nester.  good front fenders can fetch 100 bucks, other various easy to remove parts even more money.

bottom line is if you choose to give up on an eagle please at least give some heads up so that your car may live on with 1 piece or another and you can make a little extra cash

All right.  How do you award a bad-egg?  I've been looking for an "unsavable" eagle for a while now.  I know there is another member on a $500 budget for an Eagle race car.  This could have made a lot of people happy.  I pick up free cars all the time in Colorado and have them running within hours.  I recently picked up a Grand Wagoneer (advertized for $300)..  I spent less than 5 minutes on it and started it.  The owners wife handed me the keys and the signed title and said "Take It"  Being a junk man this makes me sad.  This is like the Cash for Clunkers scam.

I'm working on clearing the fleet up a bit so I can add an Eagle to the collection.  I have a Bradley GT that needs a home before I can get an Eagle by on Momma....  It will happen soon!!!!!  I definitely have some ideas to "Gronkify" an Eagle.  I'm hoping I'll have a project started after Tri-State in Feb.

Those are precisely the bumper ends I need. Does anybody else have maroon front bumper ends for an '87?

If you have some end caps of a different color you can have them repainted in the maroon color. Good luck!
