The Eagle will land Thurs.
« on: June 14, 2011, 10:59:45 PM »
Been looking for a few weeks for another Eagle. Found 2 that both sellers backed out on. Turns out that was Okay.
I located one less than 100 miles from me & went to check it out today. It now has a new owner.
The adventure of driving it home happens Thurs. Decent piece. Low option car, solid body, Hood release knob still there & working. That may have clinched the deal.
I am almost embarrassed to tell how little I paid for it. I don't use Photo Bucket, so I can't upload pics right now. I think I have a program that will work. Will spend some time checking on it. If anyone wants to see pics sooner, just e-mail me & I will send them.   [email protected]

I might have ya beat on the little to pay for price. My first eagle, a loaded 1983 limited wagon cost me an old beat up geo tracker with no title and about an hour of my time to get it home.  It is good to get an eagle for next to nothing because the previous owner didn't know what they are letting go of.  If you would like you can send me a PM and I will send you my email address and post your pictures from photobucket

Congrats on the new Eagle!  You said that you were looking for "another Eagle" - does that mean there are others in your flock?

The last Eagle that I had flew the nest, when I went to Calgary's Race City for a few years. It was not in the best shape. It had lead a hard life before I got it.  This Eagle will be the 7th AMC product that I have had over the years.
There a few of them that I wish I still had. Then again, everyone has a few of those, never shoulda deals.

Congrats on the newest member of your flock!

My first 'parts car' was a DD before it was T-boned (I drove it around a bit before we stripped it.)  but my project car was "Free to a good home".
