Something like this might be an option grease fitting tool for speedometer cable or some nylon tubing that fits over grease gun firing and speedometer cable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/113495529969

Nah, it's been several days since I reseated the speedometer cable in the back of the speedometer and removed the skid plate to see if I could straighten out the speedometer cable leaving the transfer case and it's still wobbling the needle for speeds under 20mph. Are we absolutely positive I have not unintentionally washed out a thick grease in the speedometer that was used to prevent the wobble at low speeds? I'm still looking at the scope to pull the speedometer cable and it's absolutely not a 15 minute job. The transfer case has to be drained and the gear pulled to release the cable retainer and on the other side either you gotta pull the cluster to reach the cable or disconnect it in-place and fight with the grommet in the firewall which is immediately behind the brake booster.

With recent events, got rear ended in my daily driver and it was totaled. Now trying to nurse a concussion and whiplash, got diagnosis last Monday after suffering a persistent headache for over a week my wife made an appointment. Almost 4 weeks in, I have decided I will NOT replace my rave4. I do not want another payment. Interest rates are way too high. I bought new tires for the Eagle, finally. The ones that were on it, I bought back in 2009 right after I got married. I was also given a 1999 Ford E250 van. So with the van and fresh safe tires on the Eagle I will be using then as daily drivers. Guess I will hit 100,000 miles in the Eagle this year after all..

Glad you didn’t get banged up any more than you did

I'm glad to see that these cars are still being driven!

My Eagles are for daily driving and for tinkering.  And also to be mobile museums to remind people of these cars.  I almost always get comments each time I take them out from people who remember them, haven't seen one in a long time, and who have fond memories of them.  Fly, Eagle, fly!

They're my daily drivers, but I don't drive much anymore. They have also been in shows & won awards. I actually beat myself outta first place in the 1980s. The sedan took first & the wagon got second. The other trophy was for 2nd place, I was confused & put it on the wrong Eagle!

Was my daily driver after purchasing in 2012 for ten years. Then finally decided to restore the car with new rockers and interior and paint and use it for car shows but not afraid to take it out when snow first falls before roads get all slushy.
