Anybody else shopped for CV axles lately?  I hadn't need one for a few years, but when I was looking around in the last month I found that it seems like only new ones are available, and don't seem to be available locally.  NAPA would have to ship some in from California. I ordered off RockAuto and it was delivered in a few days.

Previously, I could get some rebuilt ones locally same day.  Just wanted to pass this along - if you're thinking you may need one in the near future, you may want to purchase it before you actually need it.  Otherwise your Eagle may be grounded for a few days.

I bought some CV axles last summer. Nowhere locally was able to get them, and even Rock Auto was going to be a little while. I ended up ordering some for an 85 S10. They work a little better with my lift and should be easier to find locally should I need one. Even when I first got a set back in 2017, no local stores had any CVs in stock.

I bought a set last summer as well but kept the original ones because it was just a torn boot caught early.
They seem to be fine however I have noticed the rubber is already showing signs of cracking. You can buy new inner and outer boots but the process to replace them basically requires you to overhaul the entire axle shaft.
