Jeep XJ Shackles on an Eagle?

I am looking to upgrade the rear shackles on my car. The factory Eagle shackles are basically 2 plates  that bolt together. Using a bolt in shackle hanger.

I like the design of the Jeep XJ Cherokee shackles better. Being that they have the upper bushing built into the shackle and should be more rigid when cornering.

There are a few companies that make shackle relocation brackets for the XJ Cherokee and I think they would work great to convert the Eagle to a better shackle design.

Just curious if anyone has tried this before or if it is even worth pursuing?

There are other options out there as well.

That does look like a good way to go, especially with all of the adjustability. Another option would be a spring slider. You'd lose height, but supposedly they're great for performance applications. They seem like they'd be the most rigid option for cornering. I don't know how they do off road though, if that's much of a concern. I know a guy that had them on the front of an IH Scout and said they were great.

Update the XJ version will not fit on my SX4. The frame is not as tall, 3 inches vs 4 inches for the XJ. Also the frame rails are further apart on the Eagle and would push the back of the leaf spring out board.

A version for the Eagle might be possible but with how close the shackles are to the frame it doesn't leave enough room for a standard nut.
