My FIRST Eagle wagon
« on: June 21, 2024, 06:30:50 PM »
The very FIRST Eagle wagon I owned. I sat down at the dealer & ordered it the way I wanted it! It was the SECOND Eagle I owned & the second vehicle I ever purchased new! Traded an '81 Kammback I'd bought off the lot in on this wagon. Traded 3? 4? years later for a pick-up. Always wondered where it went.

That Eagle looks really nice, especially with a fresh blanket of snow.  Hope it went to a good home and maybe somebody is still driving it!

That would be nice. That's the ONLY picture of it I've ever found. It would be nice to know what happened to it. I hope it went to a good home.

Looks like in my infinite wisdom I neglected to include details (that I can recall). It was a 258/6 (couldn't get anything bigger), 5 speed (wanted the overdrive, Even back then I was starting to think "gas mileage"). Heavy duty electrical & suspension. I recall one time I needed a battery (I drove truck & was gone a week at a time). The local shop didn't have one in stock, so they ordered it. I was gonna pick it up when I got back. I got back & my wife had got one while I was gone - LITTLE DINKY THING, looked more like a lawnmower battery. I couldn't believe they sold her that thing! IF I recall correctly, the heavy duty package INCLUDED the skid plate. Liked the clock, didn't want the other little thing in the console, so I skipped the gauge package. I don't recall why I skipped the towing package, I SHOULDA ordered it! A/C of course, living in the desert. Oh yeah, the SEV Marchal fog lights! I HAD TO have those ;D!! AM/FM/Cassette stereo (NOT the electronic tuning).
