Bought a 81 sx4 2 days ago for 1000 bucks , floorpan is really rusty, and rockerpanels are basically non existant, anyone have experience woth fixing the floorpan, cant seem to findo one anywhere.... Found a spirit  thats in good condition, would the sx4 4wd system fit on it?

I believe Gremlin rocker panels will work on an SX/4 or at least get you a good head start.  They are available on eBay, do a search for Gremlin Rocker Panels, currently available for less than $90 a pair with free shipping.

You may want to check with some of the AMC specific suppliers to see if they have floor pans available.

Good luck!

Before investing in replacement rocker panels/floors, I would suggest understanding how extensive the rust is. If the rocker panels are rusted away, then there is likely rust around the front mount of the leaf springs, and possibly rust up near the control arm mount. These areas will require custom repair work and can be quite difficult.
