4.0 high output
« on: March 12, 2018, 03:22:05 AM »
well there I'm having some engine issues with Eagle Eyes and I was wondering if I got a 4.0 high output motor would I still be able to beef it up some more by putting the 4.2 crank and cam in it or would there be no change also what year range is the best for the 4.0 high output. Thank you in advance guys for any help you can give me.

putting the 4.2 crank in a 4.0 is how you begin the build of the Stroker 4.5 thru 4.7

so did you use the push rods from the 4.0 or from the 4.2 when you did this also what year is the best one to get for the high output engine.

I used pushrods from the H.O. they seemed like it would match the cam from  the 94. As i said in different threads she woke up enough to outrun a  police cruiser. That crown Vicky  was eventualy walked all over with speed.  Like i thinnk the one i had was maxded at 108mph. I walked past at maybe moe of 112mph or better.. yeah i  felt some vibration. I still was able to run my eagle faster with i think2.87 gearsm. An eagle can be good, just might take  time.
