Spring perches for AMC with bearing pivots are now being made. http://opentrackerracingproducts.com/amc/rollerperch/

The bearings are sealed and rebuild-able. I'm thinking about for my wagon since one of the rubber ones is already seized.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!
