Look what I found!
« on: October 28, 2014, 08:24:54 PM »
I was on a test drive at work today and by accident went down a street I don't normally take. And there on my left was a 77 Hornet AMX. The sign says $1850, but I bet he would take less and that its a 258 with a 5 speed.

That is extremely tempting but I still have my Eagle all apart. I can't concern myself with this and my car since both would become projects. That Hornet would be really nice with an injected 226/232. :occasion14:

Yeah, no kidding... I'm already in some hot water over how many cars I have though. Another one would NOT go over well   :-\

Oh I see now. I thought the black part was actually the fenders cut out

It's in Grand Coulee, WA. It looked like the all of the black on the car (except for the AMX logo) was a fresh rattle can job.

Yeah the black flares don't go to well. Like the racing stripes, but the flares need to be body color.

The louvers used to be white as well. I think they look better black. I was talking to one of the guys I work with and found out this is the second time the guys tried to sell it. I guess the first time the transmission went out and the buyer brought it back. I haven't talked to the seller to find out if it still has any issues though.

I stopped and talked to the owner on Friday and took some more pics. I was looking them over and had a question.

Is it just me, or is the fuel filter installed backwards? ???
The guy told me it runs good, but it doesn't idle well. I'm going back up there after work to see if he will consider taking my F150 for trade.

Fuel filter is almost correct but the return line should be in the 12 o'clock position.
