Some of that is probably my doing. I was hesitant to switch back initially and kept to the EVO forum mostly, but now that I've got my thread updated here about Penny I have pretty much switched back completely. I still check EVO everyday, but just don't post as often.

I'm kind of the same way. I loved the old forum, even in the dark days.

That being said, I think Evo is a little lighter, looser forum that I still love and cherish.

I like to to tell people my Eagle is like a Ferrari. It's quirky, tempermental, border-line exotic, and something you don't see everyday.  See? Makes perfect sense....

We are about where the Nest was, stat wise, back in early 2013.  I just wish we had ALL of the old posts and topics back (from day one) as there was so much good stuff that was lost.  BTW this is the 11th anniversary of the Nest/Den.  Now to start preparing for the next 11 years.  The current admins are getting old and curmudgeonly.
I'm still new here, and still learning, but this is a great place to learn!  I've only been here a while, and at this point, even I wouldn't trust something like this on me, but I intend on sticking around, and hopefully being someone that can help out. if sometime in the future, when I know what i'm doing, you need some help on the site, I'm extending my hand right now.   haha.  and i suppose,  i'm just gonna say at this point, as I am new, and probably will be asking endless questions still, I just want to thank IowaEagle, Prafeston, Vangremlin, Whuntmore, Muddog, ect. even if you havn't answered any questions, I probably learned something just from lurking around here. :D I'm sure I'm still forgetting people, but my point is, from what I see, you guys are on here, helping out people, and you guys are making the den do great!  hope I can get an eagle soon, and stick around long enough to be like you guys!

I'm just trying to pay it forward for all the help I've received from all the more knowledgeable Eagle people in the past.  This is a great site, lots of helpful people!

Thanks. To clarify, as far as im concerned, I found the one im looking for, I just have to play the waiting game.  The eagle came with a parts car, and it had about 35k miles on it, so it's being switched to that one.  I'm loving that because it's gonna last me long enough so I can learn how to rebuild an engine, and then some. The weather, and holidays lately have been slowing Down the process, but I should be getting it soon... And I can't wait!

I'm hoping Penny will be out of the shop by the end of the month and then I'll be about to possibly start seriously considering selling my Protege5 and picking up that Yellow Kammback in MI. Guess it depend on if it's still for sale by then and if the seller will make me a deal! :)
