Anyone know what size it is? It seems to be a non standard size. It's 18tpi, but a 5/8"-18 nut is too small. 3/4" nuts don't come w/ the right thread pitch.  ???

Maybe my brain is not working right now.

If it is in fact 3/4 (check with a ruler or preferably a set of calipers), there is a 3/4-18 UNS thread standard.  OD of the thread will be around .744".  The next size up is 11/16 which is somewhat non-standard and is not likely what is on the strut but you never know.  There is also no 18 TPI for that.

Did you check the threads with a pitch gauge?   It could be metric M18x1.5 is close to 5/8-18.  It is slightly larger OD and a slightly longer pitch.

checked pitch with a guage, it fits perfectly with 18tpi.
OD is .68", 11/16 is looking pretty good but I can't find any in 18tpi.
it comes out to 17.3mm, M18x1.5 should be around 17.7 so it's not metric.

that got me searching and they are definitely 11/16"

ok, kennedy american has them for $3, assuming a piece.
Moog used to sell them, part # K4004, but can't find any now.

Never knew about that size though, thanks. :)
