Well, I have seen someone use an AMX hood and splice it into the power bulge on a few examples, The other option is carbon fiber or fiberglass. that is the harder but more true looking hoods at the moment.

I thought it would be cool to take the power buldge hood and make a cowl induction setup out of it.  I will probably never try it because I have a million other things to do to the AMC but if someone uses my inspiration I only require a small "inspiration" fee :)

PLEASE don't put the fake hoodscoops from auto stores on it. They look awful.
If you are going to do it, at least make it functional.

Around here we call those "Rain Induction" scoops.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Those stick on ones from the part stores look very...well....stick on. A good custom body shop could probably make a real nice one but for a heft price.

What would the purpose be of the scoop?  Vent heat?  Cram air?  Neither are really a problem on the Eagle.

If you needed clearance for some mods under the hood, I could see it.

Probably like most scoops, the purpose is solely to look cool.

If it was there for a reason, I'd say "cool, go for it"  if it's there to look cool, I'd say "pass"

This ^.
I can't stand seeing every import and chevy truck here with walmart brand stick on plastic hoodscoops.
There is nothing more stupid looking that a hood scoop, that is clearly blocked off.

One of the only car's that still uses hoodscoops is the turbo subaru's, that have an open hood scoop and an intercooler right under it.

Lot's of older car's had ram air, cowl induction, shaker hoods, etc..which were actually open.

There's a white toyota here with like 6 of them on his car.. it's just.. the worst thing I've ever seen.. He's got all different sizes too, and one on his roof..

I've always thought it would look cool (no function!) to cut out the front of the power bulge and put black mesh behind it.  If you could come up with a function for that, well then that would be really cool.

I most certainly would not put fake vents on her.  Was thinking something more along the lines putting some kind of ram air induction on.  i have never seen it done before.  that and it would just look, as one member already said, "cool."
