Eagle "build sheet"?
« on: November 10, 2011, 08:33:49 AM »
Do eagles have a build sheet stashed away in the car somewhere?
I have had several classics and most of them have it hidden somewhere in the car.

Not all of them(assuming someone got to it). They're usually stashed away somewhere hard to find like the driver side door. I noticed this for mine when I needed to replace a door handle.

In my wagon it was under the passenger front door panel.  The SX/4 didn't have one.

It's things like this that surprise me. What prompted you to dig around in such a place?

My two SX/4's were tucked into the spring underneath the rear seat.

I found one in an SX/4 in a junkyard behind the rear interior panel.

2.) The few who learn by observation
3.) The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Build sheets are computer printed cards that were used by the employees on the assembly line. They list the options that are (were) to be installed on each car. They were never intended to be left in the cars but often were as a matter of convenience, in random inconspicuous places. Popular places for them are under seats, under the dash and behind interior panels. They are really the only way to verify what options were original to any certain car.

Those were meant for two other cars...whoops. Two people might have not got some of the options they were hoping for...or a couple surprise options they weren't expecting! :)

Found mine behind the glovebox as well as under the seat in a few AMCs.

Looking for gold !!! No, I was pulling it out to clean up the interior on one, mouse invasion, the other I was running speaker wires, and air shock lines.

My SX/4 (so far) has had one tucked behind the rear panel where the speakers and tail light are, glued to the insulation, and another underneath the rear seats I believe. I plan on framing them in the future, really neat to have some of my car's original documentation.
