Ok... Thank you I was just mentioning this on an thread earlier, That makes putting new seats in SOOOOO much less complicated, Thank You. You should be egged a dozen times over for this. and request that this gets added to the "How to" manual for seats this saves a crap ton of headaches. PLEASE?

Any new news on rear seat fitment?
I went back and bought the rear seat.   The Cherokee rear seat is a bit wider than the Eagle and it is a two piece design.  There would need to be a lot of fabrication involved to use it directly even if it was the same width.   So I plant on looking towards using the fabric and recovering the Eagle rear seat to match.  However, right now it's not high on the priority list of things needing to be done.   I did happen to run across an older Cherokee, about 86-87 or so vintage, and the rear seat looked very similar in design to the Eagle.   So I need to take some measurements of the Eagle with me next time I'm at the junk yard to see if the old Kee would be a direct fit or not.

Figured it would be too good to be true.

I think I may try to cruise the bone yard next weekend with the Eagle and see what looks close. I have a friend with a set of right color XJ buckets for the front at least. Then I'll be digging for a center console that fits-ish...

Don't waste your money on the cherokee center console.  It's too wide.  What I found that fit really well was the center console from a 2003 Saturn Vue.  It was the right length and height.  Too many consoles enclose the shifter on cars and most FWD cars have the shifter farther away from the dash then our Eagles.  Plus they are offset and don't line up.  I wanted cup holders and simple storage.  The Vue also provided rear cup holders out of the same unit and a rear auxilliary power outlet.  For $12 it was a great deal.

No maroon Vues out there though, I'll have to go a wee bit older if I want to stay color consistent - which I do since everything but the seats and sagged headliner are mint.

CraigP,

Just to be clear for someone reading this thread that may not be familiar with all the different Cherokees & their seats, the ones that you installed the buckets from are a Grand Cherokee(ZJ, 93-98) right?  Yours look like about a 95-96 time frame as my 96 ZJ has those seats, but in charcoal, none of the seats I've had in my  std. Cherokees (XJ) has had those seats.

Shot of the completed installation from passenger side.  Saturn Vue center console.

From the rear, showing rear cup holders.

Another fron passenger side shot

For the record, I can't remember exactly what year model Cherokee these came out of.
