Will a column out of an 87-91 Jeep Cherokee fit an 88 Eagle?

Curious, mudkicker did show me a guide on how to potentially fix the column I have but a good column just appeared on craigslist and I think my column got to be the way it is (extremely loose) by a tow truck driver wrenching on the wheel while the car was parked. Something "snapped", as he put it. So if it's broken, I'd like to jump on this Cherokee column. Just want to make sure it will fit beforehand, I know some suspension parts will..

Going with no. I had one briefly. As far as that goes I took a column out of a concord that needed to be fabbed to fit one of my eagles. Cannot remember the details.

I'd look for something from the same era in a GM. That's what they are aren't they?

Yes,  both GM and AMC used saginaw columns in these years.

it might fit but they are different in appearence and the wiring is different for the signals and such ........ an 80s gm car or light truck is the best possible match.
