Front end rebuild kits?
« on: June 29, 2011, 01:56:02 AM »
I have been seaching the web for a front end rebuild kit for my Eagle. I have found plenty of AMC rebuild kits but all say something to the tune or "fits amc 1970-1983 (exc. Eagle)" I think I can get all the bushings and ends I need individually but Im really hoping someone knows of a kit thats available.....Thanks

ESPO Springs n Things lists a front end rebuild kit for Eagles.  They have both rubber and poly (or you can mix and match when you call to order).

I vote go rubber for a street car.
I've used poly mounts before and they squeak a LOT.. Even with a ton of lubrication, it always comes back.

For a car you plan on racing, it's a good improvement, but for something stock or trail/road, I would stick with rubber.
They're also pretty harsh riding, and it gets a lot worse in the cold.

I know several people who have put in poly mounts, only to hate it and put rubber back in.
