i dont know if we are allowed to post links to the "bay" auctions here. go on the "bay" site, and look up electric trunk popper. they have a little cable, and some linkage stuff and all... would be nice to find out if one can be easily fabbed up to work.

Nope, we are not allowed to post direct links to the "Bay".

oh, well it read like Casper meant in a post.   But just in case, it's better to be safe then sorry, 'cause I know this site has gotten grief over posting links directly to evilbay.

But... in a PM is perfectly ok.

Yes, that was what I meant. (I'm a woman by the way).  I'll see if I can find it on Ebay with Casper's instructions.

Found a used one for 80's GM's on Ebay for $70.  I was hoping for a new one for that price.  Electric trunk popper yielded no results.

Casper, I did some more digging afterwards with different terms and I found a few different ones ranging from $20 to $70.  Hubby figures we should go to the wrecker and get a used trunk popper from a GM, but I kind of like the idea of getting a new solenoid so I don't potentially have to change it in short order after a custom fabrication.
