Another "new" eagle owner
« on: May 15, 2011, 09:56:36 PM »
Hey ,
Just bought into the whole AMC Eagle thing yesterday ! I saw this Eagle sitting in a pasture with a sign that said auction 14 May 10:00am.  I had always wanted to own something like this but didnt really figure I could afford it. Long story short $550.00 bucks Later I am now the proud owner of A 1982 Eagle ! This thing looks a little rough but It has been in a building for the last seven Years. It shows about 3/4 of a tank of 7 yeard old gas and is running a little rough but I figure it will be a good project car and it is perfect for what I need. I will be looking for all the info that I can find .
 Have a great day,
 Jim

Those are the kind of finds I dream of.  All five body styles were available in 1982, so which one did you get?

Where are you located?

Oh, and of course welcome to the Nest...

OK I guess I forgot to mention it is a Wagon. I am not going to run it with that gas In the tank , I now I don't care for seven year old beer so just don't see why my car would like it either ! Right now the only camera I have is on my phone and not a very good one at that . It is a one owner I found the original bill of sale and window sticker, Now how cool is that ? I am located In north central Missouri , and have already found another "donor" car should I need the parts , And check this out there free !!!!! got most of the parts to do a tune up and then were good to go!
 And thanks for the welcome
Jim

Sounds like you are having a lot of AMC Eagle luck and a good dose of Rambler Mentality (which is a good thing) in finding inexpensive stuff for your new wagon.

Hey James, fellow Missourian here. Currently trying to get rid of my DD and pick up an old Eagle. Let me know if you hear of prospects in the area. I'm more Mid to South Central MO. But I'm willing to drive if the car and price is right! :)
