lifted SX/4 in the gloom
« on: March 04, 2011, 01:39:28 AM »
i think it was this past tuesday morning.. i had left 5 minutes earlier than usual for work, still somewhat dim out and a hazy wet. its 4 miles to work and since they decommissioned our bridge i get to take the frontage road by the river. i've got a cup of hot coffee in one hand, steering with the other.. and i hear a little 'beep'. coming toward me is a 4x4 but it looks odd (i'm used to seeing jeeps.. they are rampant around here) and doesn't have its lights on. it passes and i look in my rear view quickly and spy the unmistakable rear of an sx/4. I was driving the copper kammback.
my first thought is it was the guy who followed me in my sx/4 one day that works in my neighborhood.. but i'm almost certain he said he had a black wagon. however.. its been awhile since i've seen him, and maybe hes gotten a new car? I've been trying to make a point to get out the door early again just to see if i can catch him on the frontage road at the same time as me. wish me luck. this time i'll be poised to beep as well. (i should break out the "EagleCam" again)
i couldn't even tell what color it was, just that it wasn't white since it didn't glow.. thats how crappy the weather was that morning.
