Hello all I am fro new martinsville west virginia I am looking to get an eagle wagon but a sedan would be okay to a guy I work with told me about one I am going totry to get if I can get a good phone number to call  but just in case are any of you near WV and know of any for sale around $1000 or less now I know that kind of money won't get a show winner but as long as it runs good and the body is solid enough to pass inspection it is fine

Welcome 1st eagle. If your lookin at becoming an Eagle owner this is the place to be! You will find an answer to any question you could ever have about these cars here.
P.S.
Eagle sedans are nice...they look a little less comfortable in ther offroad garb than their station wagon siblings but they are just as capeable. Only down fall is their tendancies to rust out under the vinyl top....always check under that top!!! ;D

I am not sure about the '88 Dakota -- but later Dakota's hung their IFS front axle off of the engine just like Eagles -- I think AMC engineers had something to do with that.
