after i finished replacing the return fuel line on Eagle Eyes which was the original by the way and had fired her up to make sure there were no leaks, i started to put the air cleaner back on and every time i moved the air cleaner the idle would change so i took the air cleaner back off and found out that the four screws that hold the carb to the manifold were super loose.

That might be whats making bluebird idle wierd!....thanks for the idea Maddog!....I would not have thought about checking that out.

Its also cuz its an AMC....AMC cut class that day when they taught the other big 3 auto makers they shouldnt run when the carb is nearly detatched...LOL 8)
