I wonder what the fastest someone's got an eagle to go in the 1/4 mile...or if anyone's turned one into a drag car.
I've seen a Spirit drag car, but I feel like an Eagle would make a better Rally car than a drag car [especially given its high 19-mid20 second 1/4 mile time hah]. If you could get enough power out of it though, it could be a fun project.

There is this one that has been turned into a drag car, I have yet to see it in person though.

Nope, he removed all the 4wd stuff (the only reason why I know any info on this car, I know the prior owner of the engine/driveline that's currently in it, lol). From what I've been told, it has a 727 tranny,  a chrysler 8 3/4 rear, and the 340, sounds S-I-C-K   :eyepopping: kinda gives that tingling feeling when it cracks to 6500   :cloud9: (back when I heard it in the prior car, lol).

When is an Eagle no longer an Eagle?

I think that drag racer needs to visit the nest store for a set of headlight adjusters, pick up some time with aerodynamics. :o

Those luggage racks also  double as a spoiler. Ive noticed they provide ample down draft to help keep your eagle on the pavement when traveling at speeds over 190 MPH...LOL  ;D

I hope to actually get to the track this year (I have run out of excuses why I can't go, lol), maybe if it is there I can find a bit more about this monster, and get a pic or two of it leaving the line  >:D.
