The new jeep seat frame is modified with the amc hinge and slider the rear seats are in place temporary. Tomorrow the frame will go back to get the leather back on it. Then to build the door panels and the passanger seat frame.

For a door striker bolt that doesn't use a bushing:
Help!/Motormite  PN#38428.  Likewise found at parts stores.

Wow!!! Great restore! No updates since June 2011 though!!! I hope that means you finished and have been too busy driving around in the Eagle to update us!

 Hey guys I haven't had a lot of time to work on it but I did get the new door panels in and one of the front seats and the new stereo system. Also outside I put the new carb on and the new ignition on it. I just cut the bottom out of the air cleaner and welded a new one in from an old ford truck so it still looks stock. Here are acouple pics of recent progress.

I the only thing I ended up doing for the suspension is the stengle bros rear leafs and the espo front springs and right now I'm just extending the shocks and will be looking for a little better set up for the rear.   And thanks guys for the part numbers for the door strikers I will probably end up getting some when I start driving it this summer.

Maybe it's just because the other seat isn't in yet, but that interior looks extra spacious. I like it!

 I took the sx4 for a short ride down the road and noticed that I still need to get a speedo gear for the trans end of the cable and I noticed a howling noise from the rear that I haven't heard before. I put new bearings on the rear about 3 yrs ago and haven't realy drove it much since I'm not sure if there could be something wrong from sitting so long in one spot. I also made some new battery cables and jumpers.

Update , I've installed a comp camshaft and timming set with the new head and cleaned up the engine .
