Lockup Slip Second Opinion

I'm noticing now that when I exit the highway and head up the hill to my neighborhood (decelerate from fast highway speeds to slow suburb road speeds, then accelerate hard again) there's a noticeable lag where the engine revs up with acceleration but the transmission takes its sweet time to go either into lockup or into first directly. If you accelerate harder it sounds like the kickdown sorts it out but it still has me wondering.
Taking the back road where you are doing between 30 and 40 (km/h) a lot is not much better. I've seen it get so bad as to wait until I'm doing 60km/h and about to shift into 2nd before it sorts itself out, which is bad. If you do it from a stop or even on flat ground it seems fine but it either doesn't like locking or going into first while loaded in motion.
I'm approaching 120000km since the rebuild so I'm curious if it's adjustment and service time or if the clutch pack in the torque converter is getting ready to go.
One's a fairly easy job. The other involves dropping the transmission.

I assume fluid level and color looks alright? What happens if you unplug the lockup stuff? I don't feel like anything should need adjusting, but I also don't know a ton about Chrysler transmissions.

last fluid condition and level check was two weeks ago before I went to Seattle. Cherry red, smelled fine and at the FULL line.

There is no way to disable lockup on the 998 that I can tell unless you disconnect the TV linkage. I've been told stories that will ruin a transmission in short order though.

Ok, my Eagle is a non lockup car, so I was assuming you could've unplugged the switch for it near the brake light switch.

Checked my records and it's been 130000km since the rebuild so it'll go in for the flush, service and adjustment and they'll see if anything else looks to be the problem of it's just unhappy I'm 20000km over my service interval.

Yeah, seems like its about time for a service. Fingers crossed that gets it taken care of.
