Dark green wire with the insulated sleeve connects to the electric choke, at least in 82. It should have battery voltage when the engine has oil pressure.

Thank you for that information.
Choke wire that must be. There is a replacement carb, so it was not attached. Never occured to me.

Started to work with right front fender.
Sanded that epoxy down a little... I noticed some issues, because someone had used grinder to remove old paint/ rust/dents once... in Swizerland...

Had to ad some filler to make surface flawless. I replaced before that front corner of original fender using a piece of my crashed Concord. There were about quarter of an inch bondo all over this fender, because of that dented front corner.  :o

Finished and primered. Did some holes for fender flare...

The better fender needs some attention too.
One unfinished dent reparation... Finished that one.

An unfinished welding job.

This bracket had an odd shape, so needed to fix it.

My own mistake... made this corner repair 2 cm too short... 3/4 inch.

Finished that one.

And this...

And then that corner, now in right measure.

Started to finish rear hatch.

Left that locking screw area untouched.

Cut that bad rust away.

Testing...

Start...

Done...

Outside looks fine.

There were a couple of odd dents here.

Painted this repair area inside of the hatch. Not an easy task... But now it is done.

to be continued....

Some epoxy primer...

And then some semigloss black paint.

Fenders got some surfacer paint and after that I test fitted those.

I used duct tape to seal gaps... and rest of tape is still there.

Removed those fiber glass moldings..

There were a lot of dirt under moldings, but not any rust. Jesh!

Right rear quarter had some bad bondo, so I replaced it with new...

Removed rear bumper.

Behind of it, there were som dirt and.... this...

Long lost radio antenna...

Rubber lip was in very sad condition.

Test fitted "new" one.

"New" one had some issues...

Flaking off

This was great fun...

Doors have had some kisses...

Something had happened here. Much bigger damage than just a kiss...

Used schrinking disc to fix this area.

Front valance needed some attention. They have used a alot of bondo in swiss body shop. About a quarter of an inch...

They had bondoed this in side too!

Look mom, no bondo!

After some "hammer and dolly time", it was time to add some filler.
I had two of these under repair at the same time. The other is for my Concord.

And then some epoxy...

Takakulmaa vielä piti hieman hioa, että sai liian pakkelin pois. Ja sitten illan päätteeksi vedin epoksia pintaan. Ihan kohtalaisia tuli...
I removed paint out of bumpers. Cleaned those and fixed damaged areas and added some epoxy. And painted rear quarter with epoxy at the same time.

Doors got some filler too.

Front is coming together.

Black paint removed...

In the middle of drivers door there were some bondo under the "factory paint"... Some repair done in early life, I think...

My son needed garage (again), so Eagle needed some weatherproofing, ie epoxy primer...

During that I went to my friend, who happens to be a car painter...

I had to fix everything for paint.
There were som sun kissed lacquer, It was very hard to take off.

Final fillers...

.
Some interesting info of this car...

Ready for surfacer...

Finally I got some painted...

Leaving home...

To a paint shop...

And now it has a new silver paint on.

Back to home.
