Adding fluid to front axle disconnect
« on: July 30, 2017, 06:33:00 PM »
I opened up my front axle disconnect yesterday and performed the hose clamp modification.  When I went to add 90w through the small fill hole I had a hard time getting the fluid to go in.  I am thinking that its because the gear is now slid over to that side?  I am wondering how important it is to have oil in there now that the gear wont be sliding around?  I'm not really sure how much I got in there.
Anyone else have a hard time filling the axle disconnect housing with fluid?
